This was my very first major project, which meant I had to lead the whole thing. It was basically a crash course in leadership—and a masterclass in pretending I knew what I was doing!

Consultants and clients faced significant challenges, including scattered content across multiple systems, inefficient keyword-based searches that returned irrelevant results, and version control issues that led to the use of outdated documents, all of which resulted in a substantial amount of time lost in document retrieval rather than delivering insights to clients.

The Problem
Consultants and clients faced significant challenges, including scattered content across multiple systems, inefficient keyword-based searches that returned irrelevant results, and version control issues that led to the use of outdated documents, all of which resulted in a substantial amount of time lost in document retrieval rather than delivering insights to clients.

We kicked off the project with a client meeting where they introduced their vision for Mercer Brain, outlined
the project goals, and explained the urgency behind the tight deadline. This session set the foundation for everything that followed.

System Architecture Diagram
With the vision in place, I transitioned into UX exploration. Using the initial diagram flow provided by the client,
I mapped the AI content journey, identified key human-AI handoff points, and established early alignment meetings to clarify business goals and technical constraints.

Building on these insights, I designed low-fidelity wireframes and user flows for key features, including document uploads, dashboard insights, and AI review panels. These were shared with the client early for feedback to ensure alignment before moving to high-fidelity designs.
